Strut Your Mutt Week is September 18-25, 2011

Why: To raise money for one of our participating local animal rescue groups (ARFLA- Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana) and Best Friends Animal Society, and help bring about a time when there are No More Homeless Pets.

You can join ARFLA’s Dog Pack to raise money for our group. All of the money raised by the ARFLA’s Dog Packs will benefit our groups (minus 2.2 percent transaction fees)

Follow the easy instructions below on how to participate in ARFLA’s Strut Your Mutt event.

Step 1: Register

Go to ARFLA’s Dog Pack page and click on the “Join This Dog Pack!” button. Be sure ARFLA is selected as your team you are participating for (do not us the tab button when moving around the form, this seems to change your selection).

Step 2: Fundraise

After you register, it's time to begin raising money for ARFLA- Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana to help create a world with No More Homeless Pets®! YOU can help change the fate of thousands of homeless pets by collecting donations from other animal lovers you know. Our top fundraisers will be featured in Best Friends Magazine and on the 2012 Strut Your Mutt t-shirts!

There are three ways to collect donations:

Raise money online by creating your own Strut Your Mutt fundraising page. These pages are very simple to create, and they can feature a picture or video of your dog, and your own personal fundraising message. On our Strut Your Mutt website, you can download fundraising tips and tools, and send customized e-mail messages to your friends and family.

Once you have registered you will receive an email, click on your personal fundraising page link in the email. Go to the top of this page and log in to your account so you can create/edit your personal page. You can also go to your account page to send customized emails and share on your Facebook!

Donate Online by clicking on a Participants Page, located at the bottom of ARFLA’s Dog Pack page.
Collect Money using the pledge form (click on the pledge form link to print). Please make checks out to ARFLA. Bring your collected money and pledge form(s) to the event! Or contact Judy Guilbeau, ARFLA’s Team Captain @ judy.arfla@gmail.com to make other arrangements.

Step 3: Strut!

WALK WITH US, September 18, 2011, join us in Strut Your Mutt Across America, and you can participate, too! It’s a one mile walk at River Ranch gazebo that starts at 10:30am, with check in and registration starting at 9:30am. Bring your doggie and the kids and come walk with us. If you don't have a doggie, we can provide one for you on that day - just let us know!

WALK WITH US IN SPIRIT (at no cost to you!) Are you out of the area? Are you not a morning person? Become a "virtual walker" on Team ARFLA... after you have created your own fundraising page to help us raise funds... then simply email your webpage link to your family and friends and/or share on your Facebook page asking them to support you in your efforts to support rescue! Then on the day of the walk, sit back and relax at home and know that you have helped us continue to save lives!
