Abby was in north Louisiana and one of our volunteers saw her run across the highway in front of a large SUV and get hit! He pulled over and ran to her aid, rushing her to the nearest vet. She had fractured a vertebrae and was unable to walk or control her bodily functions. Our dedicated ARFangels did not give up and nursed her through her injuries. Now she plays with her foster dog-siblings and is beginning to trust humans again. Abby will need a loving, patient home willing to accept her shy demeanor and work with her to help her regain her confidence. We would not recommend a home with small children or lots of action.
